Block Reward

The newly issued coins plus fees paid to whoever produces a block.

Mining & Consensus Also called coinbase reward, block subsidy

The block reward is a network’s payment for security work. It combines a subsidy of freshly minted coins with the transaction fees paid by users in that block.

As subsidies shrink through halvings, fee revenue becomes a larger share of miner income. Whether fees alone can fund security in the long run is one of the open debates in Bitcoin economics.
