A price area where buying has repeatedly halted declines.
Support is where demand has previously been strong enough to stop a fall. Traders watch it because clustered orders and stop placements make those levels self-reinforcing.
Broken support often becomes resistance on the way back up, as traders who bought there look to exit at break-even.
