Altcoin Season
A stretch where most altcoins outperform Bitcoin.
Altcoin season describes a market phase in which profits taken from Bitcoin rotate down the risk curve into smaller assets, lifting them faster than BTC itself.
It tends to follow a strong Bitcoin rally and a plateau in dominance. It also tends to end abruptly, because the same liquidity leaves in the opposite order.
