Circulating supply multiplied by current price.
Market capitalisation is the standard way to rank crypto assets by size. It answers a narrow question: what would every circulating coin be worth at today’s price?
It does not represent money invested, and it can be badly distorted by a thin float. A token with 2 per cent of its supply trading can post a huge cap on very little real liquidity.
