The highest price an asset has ever traded at.
The all-time high is a psychological reference point as much as a technical one. Above it, no holder is underwater, so overhead supply from break-even sellers disappears.
Headlines usually quote it in dollars, but ATHs also get measured against BTC pairs and in other currencies, which can tell a very different story.
