Token Approval

Permission granted to a contract to spend tokens from your wallet.

Security & Custody Also called approvals, unlimited approval, revoke

Using almost any DeFi application requires approving its contract to move a token on your behalf, and many interfaces default to an unlimited allowance for convenience.

That allowance persists until revoked, so a contract compromised months later can still drain the token. Reviewing and revoking unused approvals periodically is basic wallet hygiene.
